Douglas R. Duke

 

 

DOUGLAS R. DUKE, (Member) born Fort Bragg, North Carolina, April 11, 1945; admitted to bar, 1970, Mississippi. Education: University of Mississippi (B.A., 1967; J.D., 1970). Delta Theta Phi. Instructor, Jackson School of Law, 1973-1975. Member: Hinds County and American Bar Associations; Mississippi State Bar; Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association. Certified Mediator for cases in all Mississippi State Forums (State and Federal), including Mississippi Workers' Compensation Cases.

Mr. Duke has extensive experience in defending catastrophic or industry-wide litigation, including asbestos and pesticide lawsuits and the defense of general malpractice and liability claims. He is Admitted to practice in all State courts in Mississippi; The United States District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Mississippi; The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and The Supreme Court of The United States of America. Mr. Duke has also developed expertise in the defense of professional liability, products liability and "bad faith" actions against insurers for denial of coverage. Mr. Duke’s experience includes administrative law practice before the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission, the Mississippi Public Service Commission and the Interstate Commerce Commission. Mr. Duke maintains a part time office in Oxford, Mississippi.

Jim Bullock

 

 

JAMES BULLOCK, (Member) born Sioux City, Iowa, July 29, 1947; admitted to bar, 1980, Mississippi. Education: Mississippi College (B.A., 1970; J.D. 1980). Delta Theta Phi. Recipient, American Jurisprudence Awards in Uniform Commercial Code and Estate Planning. Member: Hinds County and American Bar Associations; Mississippi State Bar; Capt., U.S.A.F., 1970-1972; Lt. Col., MS Air Nat’l Guard.

Mr. Bullock has extensive experience in insurance defense litigation including product liability, bad faith, professional malpractice, hospital and medical malpractice and general liability cases. He is Admitted to practice in all State courts in Mississippi; The United States District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Mississippi; The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and The Supreme Court of The United States of America. In addition, he has extensive experience defending catastrophic, mass tort, industry-wide and toxic tort claims, including appellant experience.

Mr. McDowell has over thirty years extensive legal experience in defending insurance companies, businesses and individuals in personal injury litigation, including workers' compensation cases. Mr. McDowell has developed an expertise in insurance coverage litigation, commercial litigation, motor vehicle accident litigation, workers' compensation claims, product liability defense, premises liability, construction litigation and other accident and personal injury litigation in state and federal courts in Mississippi and Alabama, including representation of clients before the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission.
